Chante Esti-"Single Eye of the Heart"
Chante Esti is a Cherokee expression that means
"Single Eye of the Heart"
This is a continuous walking path that lies at the edge of the prairie. It is contained within a 55 ft. circle of sand. The pattern is defined with base quartz crystal gathered from Coleman's mine in Jesseville, Arkansas.
The design is a 9-petal Vesica star created by "Earth works" artist, Alex Champion.
Chante Esti's layout allows you to choose the direction you wish to walk. Left (clockwise) or right(counterclockwise) will take you through all of the petal shapes and at any point you may step off the path to be in the center.

Labyrinths and designs like Chante Esti are natural "release circles". Many come here to examine and release old limiting patterns. By moving our bodies and minds within a larger pattern that exemplifies balance, harmony, beauty, and order we can reclaim our wholeness.
Following the path is a way for people to step out of the chaos and demands of their lives to reconnect with their internal rhythm and innate wisdom. By returning to inner peace, we bring it into our lives and can send it out into the world.

It is adapted from one of Michelangelo's architectural achievements called "The Campidoglio". This site was once the symbolic center of ancient Rome.

Chante Esti was laid out Nov.7, 2000
under the direction of Alex Champion.
The 9 pointed star center was built up with dirt and then covered with grass sod.
A statue of Mary was placed in the center to honor the Divine Feminine and to represent the opening of the heart that is needed to heal the old energy of fear and separation on the Earth.
Each of the island sections is planted with flowers and herbs.
